This is basically my life’s work. I’ve been trying to figure out the “outside” of this world ever since.. well, follow me.

I discovered this a bit ago when I was scouting out locations for a science facility. Tell me what you see.

Shocking, isn’t it? Take it in.

A forested area near a river.

.. Yeah, that’s.. that’s a normal bit.

A blue sky.

That’s the skybox. You know what that is. Are you doing that on purpose?

A purple checkerboard on the ground.

That, you may or may not know, is an untextured, unmodelled section of land situated between some nearby mountains and the skybox.

From this position you can see it, but it’s normally not visible.

Dashijiru

Regardless of that, however, that should be the position of the next act of the story. There’s a path that leads nowhere if you head to the other side of a nearby town, after about ten screens of river and trees, you can’t go to another screen.

Make it stand out

My findings were existentially unfortunate. I didn’t tell anyone else because I wouldn’t want to throw anyone into a nihilist despair.

I struggled with it myself, but as a woman of science I had to take it for what it was.
